ISPM 15 Pallets
ISPM-15 is an international standard that regulates wood and wood packaging, requiring the treatment of wood pallets, crates, and dunnage to prevent the international spread of disease and insects. Typically, ISPM 15 Pallets are heat treated or fumigated with methyl bromide, a chemical that can be potentially harmful to the environment.
Environmentally Friendly ISPM 15 Compliance
At Litco International, we believe there is a better way. Because our export pallets are considered “Manufactured” wood materials, they are exempt from heat treating and fumigation requirements. Also, they do not require a special stamp to indicate compliance.
We like to say ISPM 15 compliance is built in to the manufacturing process. Best of all, because our export ready pallets are Cradle to Cradle® certified as sustainable, made from damaged logs, wood waste, and other wood by-products, they are a compliment to corporate sustainable initiatives because they are good for the environment.
